I take a seat next to a woman who introduces herself as Dena. We learn that we’re not only both transplants, but we moved to town on the same day, her in a house downtown and me in a shitty three-bedroom apartment I shared with my two college-age kids. It’s a huge step down from the four-bedroom Victorian I’d had in Wisconsin, but I couldn’t be happier.
